Rick F. Tolman

Rick, a former Communications-Electronics Officer for the U.S. Army and District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America, now works as a school teacher and youth mentor. He has three lovely daughters and three beautiful granddaughters.

Rick discovered he liked writing when given a poetry assignment in fourth grade, resulting in his first complete poem titled "The Dummy"' which made his teacher and mother smile. He's published other poems since and hopes you enjoy this one.

Rebecca Hopkins

As Rick’s second child, Rebecca found the opportunity to illustrate this poem a welcome treat. She has recently left the corporate world of business to pursue her art, writing, and musical talents.

Rebecca discovered her passion for art early on. As a youngster she found that any surface, from walls and bed posts, to the tile in the kitchen, or even dad’s important work documents, was a great surface for a painting.

Let me start out by saying the Kindle version is receiving 4 stars because of formatting issues and because if you don't have a Kindle Fire you will have to read it in your Kindle Cloud Reader to see the beautiful colors.

Having said that, I now own the print and Kindle versions and I highly recommend them both. The story urges us to take time and experience life rather than just being a bystander and letting life float by. The art work and colors are exquisite and will make any reader smile, young and old alike.

If you love artwork you'll love this book. The colors are so vibrant! I don't have any children, but I keep the book around for my friends' children. THEY LOVE IT! Everyone is always asking me where they can get it. This is a purchase you won't regret it, it's beautiful.
Oh my gosh! My sister gave me this book for my kindle and my 3-year old daughter won't let me put it down! The story line is fun and the bubbles in the photos are so bright and cheery! I am going to order the actual book next so my little one can carry it around! Honestly this is such a happy little book!
